Martinhal Quinta -5 Bed Villa

Nestled amongst the manicured fairways and luxury resorts of Quinta do Lago, the Algarve's answer to Marbella, Martinhal Quinta is an exclusive collection of 4-star townhouses and villas, each with their own private pool (fenced on request) and access to a sociable 'Pool Hangout' area with communal pool, family-friendly cafe bar, well equipped kids club (4yrs +), games room, playground and ice cream parlour. A brilliant 'Baby Concierge' service offers a comprehensive list of nursery gear (see 'Fast Facts') and day/evening babysitting services.

From June 2015, the resort's management has been taken over by the team behind the incredibly popular Martinhal resort near Sagres (75mins drive). They've already invested over €1million in upgrading the communal facilities and giving them the stylish yet family-friendly vibe that has earned them numerous design and parenting industry awards at their original resort. Yet more investment is planned over Winter 2015/2016 which will see an expansion of communal facilities with a creche, another restaurant, a larger 'Mercado' and, subject to commitments from the individual owners, Martinhal's signature contemporary style interiors added to the accommodation.

The resort's Quinta do Lago setting may not be the best option for those looking to immerse themselves in local culture, but it is a great place to indulge in some near enough 5-star luxury at a great value 4-star price with an amazing array of high quality restaurants, including many Michelin star winners, excellent golf courses, sophisticated bars and elegant boutiques, each targeting a well-heeled crowd and all pretty much on the doorstep. A beach shuttle service operates several times a day (small fee), the onsite bike rental office is handy for those who want easy access to the beach at other times. The beach is approx. 20mins walk, less by bike.

The award-winning landscaping gives the resort a very lush feel with tropical flowers, palm tress and greenery at every turn. The villas and townhouses have spacious lawns in addition to their private pools and BBQ terraces and are comfortable enough that few guests bother to venture far from the resort itself and the nearby Quinta do Lago centre (15mins walk/short drive) with its selection of sophisticated eateries and shops.

Martinhal Quinta offers a 4 star collection of independently owned luxury villas perfect for larger groups and families. Each offers large living spaces, fully fitted kitchens, air conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Each of the five bedrooms are en-suite plus there's an additional cloakroom. The luxury villas are positioned in their own landscaped gardens complete with private swimming pool (some not all of the pools can be fenced on request, subject to availability).

Villa Facilities: Luxurious Voya toiletries (shampoo + conditioner + bath gel + body milk + soap), satellite television, telephone and air conditioning. Kitchen with washing machine, dish washer, ironing board, iron, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and kitchen utilities. Villas benefit from a daily maid service.
