Le Manoir de Longeveau’s fantastic combination of pretty gîte accommodation, beautiful setting, and brilliant facilities, which include a crèche/kids club, golf course, tennis courts, and bar/restaurant, make it a real find for families with young children. Within hours of arriving it’s easy to see why so many guests return year after year – a particularly tempting proposition when enjoying a relaxing drink on the bar’s sunny terrace and soaking up the beautiful scenery!
The 16th century former Cognac estate’s elegant yet relaxed and friendly ambiance is helped along by the fact that guests can do as much or as little as they wish. Little ones can attend the professionally staffed crèche, which runs from during high season, while adults relax by one of the pools, enjoy a round of golf (9-holes), a drink and a meal on the bar’s terrace, a spot of boules or a game of tennis, with or without tuition. There are also acres of open countryside to explore and two excellent play areas for little ones to enjoy. The fact that there’s a 40-ft heated outdoor pool plus a separate paddling pool, is also a bonus for those with small babies who may find unheated pools chilly, even in summer.
The pretty gîtes sleep from two to eight and are nestled in small clusters scattered amongst the 60 acres of beautiful grounds, either close to the Manoir itself or a few minutes walk away at the hamlet of Puygironde, which overlooks Longeveau and the golf course. All have been recently renovated to a high standard, mainly from old farm buildings and each has charming original features including old beams, exposed stonework, and timber or clay tile floors. Properties offer open-plan living areas with well-equipped kitchens and some include dishwashers, washing machines, and flatscreen TV. There is also a separate well-equipped communal laundry room. Each has a private outdoor seating area and BBQ, useful for quiet nights ‘at home’, after busy days and when not making the most of the bar’s terrace for meals and drinks, or communal BBQ nights.
The Terrace Bar and Restaurant is an idyllic spot for a sunny breakfast coffee and pastries ( you can also arrange pastry boxes to takeaway) or a relaxed, light lunch. During summer it is open several evenings a week for a la carte dining and the owners also arrange a Thursday night 'Pizza Night' and weekly BBQ. Plus on Tuesdays, a funky fish and chip street food van arrives at Longeveau spring through to Autumn.
Accommodation Overview:
The Cerisier is located in the l’Hammeau, in the little village of Longeveau. This two-bedroom, ground-floor cottage is full of character, offering modern living with the charm of the countryside.
The property centres around an open plan living area with plenty of space for living and dining and an open plan kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and all of the other utensils you may require for your holiday. Plenty of natural light, ventilation, and views over the swimming pool to the countryside beyond, will ensure you really get the refreshment you need.
Both bedrooms look into the village centre. The main bedroom has an en-suite and a side door opening out onto a little terrace for two. The second room has two twin beds (which can be put together as a double), and a separate shower room / WC.
The living area leads out onto a terrace at the front (or at the back, depending on your perspective?!) with a table, chairs, and BBQ for enjoying the long summer days. The garden (fenced for the little ones) leads onto the pool, shared with the other four properties in l’Hammeau.
The changing season brings views of wheat-fields, sunflowers, and corn-fields with plenty of walks and bike rides. With all of the other facilities at Longeveau only a couple minutes stroll away, the Cerisier is the perfect location to unwind and relax.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
