Chateau Les Merles – The Apartment

Chateau Les Merles is the kind of glamorous boutique hotel escape most BFB users would have killed to visit pre-offspring with its wonderful vineyard/golf course setting just 10mins from Bergerac and its airport, sophisticated monochrome interiors and highly rated restaurant and bistro. All is not lost! Thanks to its elegant little 2-bedroom apartment with terrace overlooking the lawns and pool, which provides ideal accommodation for a couple and baby or new toddler.  Set all on one level, and with patio doors opening to a safe grassy area, it allows little ones stress-free roaming, whilst parents will appreciate its chic design, luxurious fixtures and fittings, handy kitchenette and the ability to enjoy the glamorous onsite restaurant and bistro a stone’s throw from the apartment’s lockable door. Guests who remember their baby monitor (basic baby gear provided but not listener see below) and grab a terrace dining table, may actually be closer to junior than when dining downstairs in their own homes.

Whilst BFB highly recommends Chateau Les Merles as an indulgent holiday for parents of babies/new toddlers, and the staff are certainly very welcoming to mini guests, parents with older toddlers or several children may find that there is little to entertain them, apart from the lovely pool. The lack of holiday buddies may be an issue.
