Nestled on the outskirts of one of France’s prettiest villages, this Provençal-style hilltop home for 12+ is perfect for multi-family groups in search of an indulgent yet child-friendly retreat in the Luberon valley. Built in traditional style the farmhouse villa stands proud against a backdrop of verdant pastureland looking out onto the Alpilles beyond. Inside its interiors are a lesson in pared back country style with a contemporary finish.
A haven of rural relaxation, guests can while away the days soaking up the views, taking a dip in the private pool (heated on request) and exploring the pretty landscaped gardens. Days out are easy with a selection of picture perfect villages and bustling towns located just a short drive away. Gordes, which is regarded as one of the finest villages in France is just 6kms away and well worth a visit especially on market day (Tuesdays). For those not content with lazy days by the pool there's an abundance of activities available nearby. Guests have a choice of golf, cycling, horse-riding, skiing, sailing and hiking all within a short drive plus the Marseilles coast line is just over an hours drive away.
Perhaps best suited to several couples travelling with newborns or older children, this luxury villa doesn't quite offer the array of baby gear that our usual finds do (see fast facts) but what it lacks in equipment its more than makes up for in location.
Accommodation Overview
This idyllic country house sleeps 12 plus two infants in six bedrooms split over two floors. There's a cosy living room with comfortable sofas and open fire which leads out onto the covered terrace and a separate study/TV room (satellite TV, DVD & CD player) which is great for larger groups looking for more space to relax. The impressive dining area is great for family feasts and also leads out onto the terrace should guests fancy eating alfresco. The kitchen itself is stylish and well equipped (includes dishwasher, washing machine and dryer). A chef can be arranged on request should guests fancy a break from the cooking or wish to celebrate a special occasion during their stay.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor; a twin with en-suite bathroom and french doors leading out onto the terrace plus a further two twin rooms. There's also a shower room and separate WC.
The first floor has an impressive master suite with an air conditioned double room, en-suite bathroom (bath & shower) and access to a private terrace. There's a further twin room on this floor again with its own bathroom.
The final room is situated in the annexe which has external access only so is best suited to adults. It has a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Please note: All twin rooms can be set up as doubles on request. Air conditioning is provided in the first floor bedrooms only. Heating can be arranged at additional cost. Fans are provided elsewhere.
Outside the house has lovely landscaped gardens with manicured lawns and dining terraces. There's a BBQ, table tennis and boules. The private pool (13m x 6m/ depth 1.2m-2.5m) is located at the bottom of the garden (down several small steps) and has an electric cover. It can be heated on request at additional cost.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
