Angela Blue is a special family-friendly villa for 10, pitched on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. Inside the property is simple but touches of traditional character give it a warm and inviting feel. Wafting through the rooms, looking out over the beautiful gardens and ocean beyond, guests would be forgiven for feeling they’ve stumbled into the backdrop of The Talented Mr. Ripley, just replace the cast with a bundle of happy, playing children!
The villa sits flower-filled gardens just a few kilometres from the nearest village and has direct access to the ocean (gated). The private swimming pool is set a good distance away from the house with beautiful views over the sea. It has a hydro-massage corner and can be heated to a toddler-friendly 26 degrees on request (additional costs apply). Further parent-friendly touches including a handy supply of baby gear, a small smattering of toys, and the option to hire a chef or daily maid service complete the scene.
Accommodation Overview
The house is perfect for groups as it has bedrooms split over three floors and offers plenty of space. On the ground floor, there is a spacious, living room with comfortable chairs, satellite TV, a DVD player, and access to a lovely terrace area. The doors are best swung open, letting in the sea breeze and enhancing the ocean views. The kitchen brims with character thanks to the traditional Sicilian ‘Maioliche’ tiles. It is well equipped for self-catering and offers a dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas stove, washing machine, and an array of crockery and cutlery. There is a small dining table in the open plan living area and a further dining area on the covered terrace outside. This table looks out over the sea and is a great spot for lazy summer lunches and dinners as the sunsets.
There are six bedrooms in total, two of which are downstairs. There is an en-suite double room (can be made up as a twin on request) and a children’s room with bunk beds. Again, this room is en-suite. On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. These rooms consist of a spacious master suite with private terrace and a small single room (French bed). On the second floor, there are two additional double rooms, one of which can be made up as a twin. There are family bathrooms on each upper floor.
Outside the house has 3000 sqm of Mediterranean gardens, expertly planted with an array of colourful plants and flowers. The pool is set a short distance from the house and surrounded by comfortable sun loungers which look out onto the sea. The house has direct, private access down to the ocean.
The bedrooms all have air conditioning, and the book can be heated at an additional cost (usually 500 euros per week).

Location Information
The villa is an easy 30-minute drive from Palermo airport and only a short drive from the bustling seaside city of Bagheria which featured in Giuseppe Tornatore’s, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso but perhaps more recognisable, was a filming location for The Godfather trilogy. It’s a city rich in history and filled with great little cafes, restaurants, and gelato shops.
Closer to home, the villa is in the relaxed seaside village of Santa Flavia and has a choice of pizzerias, restaurants, and shops within between 15-30 minutes’ walk away. Families should note this the walk does not have a pavement the whole way and torches would be needed at night. Parents may prefer to hop in the car for a minute or two.
There is a choice of lido beaches within a short drive and a wider choice of sandy strips a little further by car.
The area is steeped in history and ancient ruins and historic landmarks dot the surrounding areas. Popular tourist destinations such as Mount Etna are accessible for day trips by car, but with the choice of picturesque towns, villages, and national parks nearby you’ll be spoilt for choice in terms of exploring.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
