Trelowth Cottages – Five

At first sight the multi-award wining Trelowth Cottages looks like an idyllic model village with pretty detached cottages scattered amongst 30-acres of meadows and woodland. A closer look finds it’s far more. There are facilities including: an indoor pool, tennis courts, a fully stocked games room, an internet lounge, an indoor playbarn and a toddler-friendly playground; yet enough space to ensure privacy and independence, if desired.

Owners Pat and David Smith know that it’s the simple pleasures of adventures in the woods and fields that can make the best memories for little ones. They’ve even created a wild animal trail complete with statues of the real thing and prizes for finding the lot! It’s almost as much fun making friends of both the two and four-legged variety at the daily animal feeding and egg-collecting rounds with Farmer Dave!


Accommodation Overview

Cottage Five: sleeps eight (plus cots) in four bedrooms and has a striking architectural design with a circular living room window to maximise it far reaching views across the valley, almost to the sea beyond. It is spacious and ideal for a group of friends or extended family to get together. The large living/dining room has a gas "wood burner". The contemporary kitchen has stainless steel fittings, slate floor and a gas range cooker. There is a family bathroom and shower on the ground floor, plus one double bedroom and one single with full size hideaway bed to sleep two children. Upstairs are two huge bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with en suite shower rooms and fabulous country views. French doors lead from the dining room to the patio – a real sun trap with more views. The cottage has gas central heating. Laburnum's layout makes it ideal for families with someone with special needs or limited mobility as it has large ground floor bedrooms and bathroom and easy level access for wheelchairs
