Minutes from the beach and dunes of Camber Sands, The Rock is an attractive brick and weather board holiday cottage for easy, chilled out family holidays by the sea, where everyone's needs have been thought of even the family pet! There's so much baby gear and toys that planning and packing up is a piece of cake too. For starters, there are inflatables, deck chairs, windbreak, picnic set, bucket and spade all ready and waiting so the beach is beckoning!
The interiors are simple, contemporary and uncluttered, which means fewer hazards and breakables within reach of elastic-armed toddlers! The house is also spacious, comfortable and really well equipped for parents and youngsters alike. The high spec home entertainment in the sitting room includes a wall mounted flat screen TV with Smart TV and Sky + HD and on demand, DVD Player, high speed WI-FI, Nintendo Wii and WiiFit, XBox and a variety of games, ultimate ears bluetooth speaker.
As if that's not enough to keep all ages happy whatever the weather, The Rock has a treasure trove of DVDs, board games, books and a trunk full of kids toys, outside games and ride on's.
In the modern, open plan kitchen dining room, there's another Smart TV so grown-ups can watch something other than Cbeebies and enjoy wine and nibbles at the stylish dining table. A welcome pack is provided, plus the kitchen has some handy gadgets including a Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules, fridge freezer, smoothie maker, hand blender, sandwich toaster and picnic set for laid back holiday living, plus washer dryer and microwave. From the kitchen/dining room, patio doors lead into an enclosed decked garden with a large wooden dining table, bench seating, Weber BBQ and planters which have outdoor lights to create the right mood on warm summers evenings.
On the first floor, The Rock has a master double bedroom with Smart TV and ensuite shower and wc, a second double bedroom, a twin room and family bathroom. The bright, clean and simple theme flows throughout, finished with tasteful pictures, smart linen and towels. Fur babies are well looked after too with dog bed, bowl, toys and treats!

Location Information
The Rock is part of a village-style development just a few minutes' walk from the 7 miles of Blue Flag beach and dunes of Camber Sands. Often popping up in films, TV shows and ads, Camber Sands were used as the Sahara in Carry On Follow That Camel and as a location lookalike for the Dunkirk evacuation beaches. The village itself has a seaside atmosphere, with cafes, fish and chip shops, small general stores, shops selling beach gear, amusements, plus a couple of pubs.
The historic walled town of Rye is just 3 miles away, perched on a hill overlooking the River Rother and Romney Marsh. The town is great fun to explore, from Strand Quay up cobbled Mermaid Street, passing timber framed houses with quirky names such as The House With Two Front Doors' and The House Opposite. Hear colourful tales of Rye's history in the Castle Museum and take in the views from 13th century Ypres Tower. Browse interesting little shops, tuck into indulgent cakes in olde worlde tea shops and sample fresh caught fish dishes in the many bistros and pubs.
A fun way to explore the region is on the narrow gauge Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway and one of the South East's best loved family attractions is the time travel adventure at Yesterdays World in Rother. Other highlights include the 1066 town of Hastings, Canterbury and magnificent Bodian Castle .
For stocking up on groceries, the nearest supermarket is Sainsburys in New Romney (7 miles) and Tesco or Morrisons in Hastings (15 miles) who will also deliver. In the garden of England, however, local shops and markets are full of superb local produce, including the farmers market in Rye every Thursday morning and Winchelsea Farm Foods. For the perfect parental tipple on a summer's evening, pick up fine English wines at Carr Taylor Vineyard in Westfield or Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard in Rother.
Activities nearby include kite surfing centre, land boarding, kite, buggy and paddle boarding, kids camp providing windsurfing, and dingy sailing, and Rye Golf club.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
