Property Overview

0.0 (0 reviews )
This heavenly hamlet of 18th Century stone cottages, each brimming character and charm, offers the perfect prescription for leaving behind the stresses and strains of the day to day grind and rediscovering the simple pleasures of rural life. All with a good dose of luxury of course!

From soaking in the breath-taking views over the Looe Valley and the pretty fishing port of Looe from your cottage's private English country garden, or the comfortably heated outdoor pool, to bringing Old MacDonald's Farm to life with egg collecting and feeding rounds, a stay at one of Treworgey's collection of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom cottages is just the ticket for a spot of family rejuvenation.

Spread over 170 acres of meadows and farmland, the 17 individually designed and luxuriously fitted cottages are just a few minutes by car from the beach but offer plenty to keep adult and junior guests occupied for days on end. The heated outdoor pool with dedicated baby/toddler section, Spa pool, indoor playroom stuffed with Brio toys, outdoor play areas with sandpit, Wendy house, swings etc. plus animal feeding and riding school (from 18 months), never fail to delight junior guests. Whilst parents are just as well looked after with optional homemade dinner deliveries and pre-bookable babysitting, for nights out or just a couple hours in the daytime to allow for a few games of tennis or a romantic horse-ride along the riverside.

Each of the charming cottages blends Laura Ashley-style country contemporary interiors with modern luxuries such as flatscreen smart TVs, Freeview (with Cbeebies!), Hairdryers, coffee makers, Bluetooth speakers, WIFI and dishwashers, plus private gardens with BBQs, loungers, sun umbrellas and lovely valley views.

Accommodation Overview
River Barn (sleeps 6+)
is one of the oldest buildings at Treworgey and has been thoughtful renovated, retaining its character whilst ensuring it's as environmentally friendly as possible. The downstairs is under-floor heated and has local oak beams above. The entrance hall leads to a big, fully-equipped kitchen with an old pine dresser and farmhouse table. There is a downstairs shower room and a spacious sitting room with a big elevated table, colourful wool rugs, antiques, leather sofas, arm chairs, freesat smart TV, DAB radio with Bluetooth speaker. The wide inglenook fireplace in the sitting room houses a glass-fronted wood burner which is perfect for cosy nights in.

Upstairs the oak landing leads to three double bedrooms. Two bedrooms have bathrooms next-door with baths and separate showers. All bedrooms have antiques, wool rugs, oak beams, (including the magnificent pegged roof trusses) and oak floors. One bedroom has a king-size brass bed. The other two have zip-and-links, providing full flexibility for either twins or super king-size doubles.

Both the cottage and the large, secluded suntrap garden, have fabulous views down the valley to the river below.
