When owners Alice and Trevor discovered this charming Cornish hideaway, the couple immediately fell in love with the place and it is easy to see why. These adjoining cottages enjoy an amazing setting, nestled in a virtually private valley, between Fowey and Looe, in 3-acres of south facing gardens, with views over rolling countryside to the sea.

The Cornish coast path is just 10-minutes walk and a smugglers track leads to the stunning Lansallos Cove with Caribbean-like clear water. The horseshoe bay is idyllic for playing, paddling and swimming but guests also have free access to the luxurious indoor heated pool and tennis courts at the family friendly Fowey Hall Hotel Spa (short drive). As if that wasn't enough to guarantee parental relaxation, there's a huge list of handy baby and toddler gear to make light work of packing, and a fabulous ready-meal delivery service from local company, Red Earth too… all in all, rather idyllic.

Lansallos Cottage Two is a spacious and well equipped stone house for up to 10 family and friends, with pets welcome too. The house is not striving to be super chic or boutique but the homely comfort, fantastic range of baby gear and the dream setting means it is still a winner in the BFB book. A big, beamed farmhouse kitchen provides the natural heart of the house and boasts a banquet sized dining table for tucking into delicious Cornish food, beginning with a complimentary cream tea on arrival. Organic fruit and vegetables are available from the garden when in season and there's refreshing water from a private spring. The expansive drawing room has another wood burner for cosy nights in, with a TV, DVD and CD players, Ipod dock and wi fi available. One of the five bedrooms is located downstairs, with a single bed, large bathroom and private entrance making this a handy self contained corner of the house for a nanny or grandparent.

The glorious garden is where the house really comes into its own, with terraced lawns and lots of secret corners for youngsters to play hide and seek while grown ups pick a spot to gaze on the fantastic sea views. Everyone can watch out for a variety of feathered friends visiting the well stocked bird feeders and there's also a sandpit with buckets and spades, swirly tennis, boules and a croquet set.

Lansallos Cottage Two is a spacious 5-bedroom family house for up to 9 people, plus babies in cots. The house has one king size bedroom, one double bedroom and two twin-bedded rooms. Three bedrooms have beautiful views over the gardens and the valley to the sea, two have wash basins and there's also a large family shower room, with twin washbasins and wc. A single bedroom, with additional pull out bed is located downstairs, with a large bathroom and private entrance. There is also another separate wc downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer added to the standard gear.
