Eco-Luxe Villa

A far cry from the high rise, fly and flop package holiday resorts that mar some of the Canary islands, Finca del Arietta is an ethically designed, luxurious, private estate close to the tranquil fishing village of Arrieta on Lanzarote's north coast. Owned by ex-pats Michelle and Tila, who live on site with their own brood of youngsters, the 30-acre coastal farm is now home to two small villas and six yurts, each sleeping from 2-8, and all designed following the principles of Lanzarote's most famous architect, Caesar Manrique – with sympathy towards the natural beauty of the location and protection of the environment.


All sixteen properties, enjoy shared use of the solar heated, outdoor pool and second jet pool, as well as the kids play areasand access to the cluster of friendly farm animals including Molly the donkey. The traditional Canarian fishing village of Arietta with its sandy beach and small selection of shops and cafe bars is within 300m walk, although via an uneven farm track, which can be tricky to navigate with buggies in the dark, so a torch is recommended if you're planning on eating at the sea front restaurant.

Accommodation Overview

The single-Storey, Eco-Luxe Villa is the largest of the properties available to rent at 200m2. It boasts two bedrooms, a king-sized double and a twin room (2xsingles), two bathrooms plus a large king-size Indonesian daybed plus double sofabed in the lounge, enabling it to sleep up to 8 guests plus infants in cots.

Along with its stylish interiors blending local stone and wooden floors with design influences from Morocco and Indonesia, and a custom-built hardwood and granite kitchen, possibly its greatest asset is its outdoor space. The villa has lovely mature gardens, a terrace with sun loungers and BBQ, and an outdoor thatched 'breeze house' dining area with sea views. In addition to the villa's own outside area, there is the shared and gated pool area which has the chill out area and entertaining-suite consisting of the solar heated pool with jet pool, covered Polynesian style day bed, gas BBQ, covered second Kitchen, dining table for 8 people, music system, a guest toilet with shower and Moroccan style seating. This area is also set with mature gardens, sun loungers, panoramic sea and mountain views.
