As a mother of two and an interior designer, owner Jacqueline has invested a whole load of herself into making Chalet Mirabelle such a dream family home in the awesome French Alps. It’s a place to escape as a family – a sanctuary – which, in her own words, is about ‘phones off, fresh air and quality time together. It’s also bristling with designer style that’s earned itself features in the ‘Luxe’ edition of Homes & Interiors and on the chic website, The Pink House. Cosy yet contemporary, organized yet eclectic, polished yet comfortable are just some of cornerstones of Jacqueline’s vision that have made the Chalet such a perfect blend of formal and informal, wow factor and family friendliness.
High in the French Alps, Chalet Mirabelle has been designed to make the most of its gobsmacking views over majestic Mont Blanc, with floor to ceiling windows, a wraparound dining terrace and a steamy hot tub under the stars. The panoramic living space, with funky wall art, is open plan and divided into a cosy lounge with a woodburner, designer chairs and furry throws; a sleek dining area; and a gleaming contemporary kitchen with a dine-at island. Fresh pastries can be delivered each morning (with prior arrangement, at additional cost) as well as an afternoon cake for a well-earned après ski sugar kick, plus organic wines are provided and families can arrange bespoke catering if required.
Children have a brilliant den they can call their own, decorated with a cool mountain fresco and kitted out with a play kitchen, toys, puzzles, games and a Smart TV to watch Netflix or the Movie Channel, snuggled into a giant sofa bed. The den can be made up to sleep 4 children, in addition to the Chalet’s 5 luxurious and peaceful bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, including Spa products and toiletries by Neals Yard Remedies. After exhilarating and exhausting days on the nearby slopes, grown-ups can also soothe away aching bones in a deep slipper bath, power showers and a Nordic sauna/spa.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
