Casa Almoros is a charming cluster of child-friendly cottages which almost seems heaven-sent for parents in search of a relaxing holiday to Spain. It offers an idyllic, rural location in the Alicante hills, just a few minutes from the traditional village of La Romana. There is a solar heated, saltwater swimming pool with separated toddler pool for little ones, a playground and playroom. What really sets Casa Almoros apart is the variety of thoughtful added extras the owners provides to ensure a true parent-friendly retreat.
From the moment guests arrive the stress and strains of urban living melt away. Families are welcomed with an arrival night BBQ, where they are free to soak up the sunset over a complimentary glass of wine as little ones meet their playmates for the week. On Mondays, all mums are given a day of rest! A continental breakfast and hearty dinner are provided for the whole family, while mums are also treated to a relaxing massage and glass of cava. Plus, for those left in charge of watching the little ones a group art session is an inspired idea to help keep kids entertained. On Wednesdays, guests can enjoy an inclusive pizza night which is followed up with a film and popcorn for little ones while parents are free to relax close-by with a glass of something chilled, soaking up the mountain views. Aside from special treat days, the owners also supply an abundance of useful baby and toddler equipment which helps reduce the stress of packing. The pool bar is also a great addition as guests can help themselves to free drinks and popsicles whilst lounging by the pool.
Such a haven of relaxation can prove hard to leave, especially as mini guests are often happy just to while away the days jumping in and out of the pool or hanging out with their pals in the play area. Those that do manage to tear themselves away won’t be disappointed. Whether staying local and popping to the village for market day or strolling down to the traditional restaurant for dinner. Or perhaps exploring further afield for family beach days or a fun-filled afternoon at a waterpark. Those seeking a little culture will find both the pretty city of Elche and the more bustling Alicante an easy drive away. The owners are always on hand to offer suggestions and can help guests arrange a range of activities from golf to boat trips.
Casa Almoros is a special find and one we’re sure will help create many happy family memories.

Location Information
Casa Almoros is located in the rural hills of Costa Blanca in Alicante just 40 minutes from the airport. Despite its rural location there’s a plethora of things to do nearby whether you’re looking for lazy days on the beach, something more active or even just a day out exploring a new city.
For beach trips there’s a variety of choice but the owners particularly recommend Playa Lisa at Santa Pola which is approx. 30 miles away and is a big hit with their own kids. It has fewer waves and under currents than other beaches and the shallower waters are great for paddlers. There’s a good smattering of restaurants along the beach and the town has a small castle and aquarium which little ones enjoy.
For days when little ones may need a little more entertaining, there are some great zoos, safari parks, theme parks and water parks all within 90 minutes’ drive.
Closer to home, the local town of La Romana is just a few minutes’ drive away and has everything families may need. There’s a choice of three supermarkets, two pharmacies and a good selection of bars and restaurants. The town has a local market which is held every Saturday morning between 9am -2pm. There is also a smaller, indoor fruit and vegetable market which is held every Wednesday morning. The best part of the town, well for little ones at least, the choice of parks! There is one in the centre of town which is best suited to younger children and another at the top of the town which is great for older kids. It has a zip wire and lots of shaded spots when families want to shield from the sun.
Along with the restaurants in town, there’s a great Bodega which the owners thoroughly recommend. It is family run and offers daily wine tastings. It has a lovely courtyard which is a great spot for a family lunch and guests can browse their shop and take back some local vino to enjoy back at their apartment. If parents don’t feel like driving, there is a local Spanish restaurant located 20 minutes’ walk down the mountain which is famed for its rabbit paella.
Nearest airport: Alicante (40 minutes), Murcia (60 minutes) and Valencia (2 hrs) are the best airports for visiting Casa Almoros. Car hire is essential.
Nearest medical centre: Medical centre 7minute drive and A&E Elda 35 minute drive.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
