Multi-million pound Villa Malibu is exactly the kind of jaw-dropping pad that Marbella’s celebrities and super rich sun-worshipers would happily chill out in style and where large families can live the dream. Hollywood heart-throb Antonio Banderas is just one of the neighbours in the exclusive Malibu Beach suburb of Marbella so who knows who else might be spotted at the 5-star Los Monteros Spa Hotel and La Cabane Beach Club, just a few minutes’ walk away.
Spacious and luxurious is an understatement when it comes to this dream villa, set in 2,500m² of private, pristine garden where families can take full advantage of the Costa del Sol sunshine. The 12×5 metre pool takes centre stage and has beach-style access at the one end for parents to splash in the shallows with babies and toddlers. Grown-ups can soothe away stress in the adjacent Whirlpool or lounge on the sunbeds around the pool while children play on the surrounding lawns or have a bounce on the netted trampoline or set up a den in the tree-house climbing frame with a slide. A poolside lounge provides welcome shade as temperatures soar, not only furnished with comfy sofas but also featuring its own corner bar for sipping chilled Cava and cocktails, while sizzling steaks and sardines ‘a la plancha’ on the Weber BBQ.
Overlooking the pool, the fabulous summer room is the focal point of the villa, with wall-to -wall sliding glass doors so the luxurious interior spills seamlessly into the garden. The room brims with designer style and has been furnished with luxurious sofas and a funky dining table for 12 beneath a pergola style raftered ceiling that lets the sun dapple through. Inside the villa proper, the big living room is another luxurious, contemporary space for families to relax, complete with Bang and Olufsen sound system and huge flat screen TV, but then there’s also a cinema room where families can settle into leather couches with some popcorn for their very own screening of a variety of films.
Needless to say the sleek kitchen is state of the art, with Miele and Siemens appliances and an adjacent dining area which is handy for serving up children’s snacks and suppers. All the bedrooms in the main villa are lush and spacious with their own TV, luxury ensuite and doors to a balcony, terrace or the garden. The master bedroom also has its own mini gym and dressing room plus the villa has a self contained apartment that provides even more peace and privacy for a couple or perhaps for grandparents.
Accommodation Overview:
Villa Malibu consists of a 4-bedroom house plus a self contained apartment, to accommodate 11 family and friends, plus babies, in plenty of space and the lap of luxury. The huge master bedroom has a king-size bed, mini gym and dressing room. The second guest room has a double bed and a family room, with an L-shaped layout, has twin beds and a small double, which is handy for a teenager or a nanny. A ground floor suite, with a double bedroom, opens onto the poolside area and would be ideal for families with babies and toddlers or for older relatives. Another double bedroom is in the self contained apartment, which is accessed from the main house. All the bedrooms are ensuite and have their own TV and all have space for cots which can be provided.
Location Information
Villa Malibu is located in the glamorous beachside suburb of Marbella known as Malibu Beach, with millionaires and film stars for neighbours, as well as the 5* Los Monteros Spa Hotel.
A toddler toddle down the lane leads to the exclusive La Cabane Beach Club and a sandy beach with a mix of family run ‘chiringuitos’ to sample the catch of the day, or chic beach bars like Trocadero Arena, serving up gastro menus. Marbella is at the centre of mile upon mile of the Costa del Sol’s sun baked sandy beaches, including 21kms around Estapona and 2 with Blue flag status.
Besides the beach bars there is an endless variety of options for eating out. The local restaurants in El Rosario are just 2kms away or how about rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous in the quayside restaurants of glitzy Puerto Banus, just a few minutes’ drive. Families will also find themselves spoilt for choice in the nearby white village of Benahavis, with its reputation as ‘the dining room of the Costa del Sol’.
Marbella is of course the most famous resort on the Costa del Sol because so many celebs and millionaires have made it their own. A spot of people watching is always fun, perhaps while enjoying chargrilled sardines in a beachside chiringuito and there’s also the pretty whitewashed old town to explore, the designer boutiques and a road train tour which is handy with infants.
For families, other major attractions in the vicinity and within an hour’s drive from Villa Marbella include the enormous Galaxia Playcenter, Tivoli World Amusement Park, several water parks and the Serengeti Safari at Selwo Aventura, which allows children to get close to giraffes, hippos, rhinos, zebras and other African animals in a jeep tour of the park.
Getting there: There are frequent flights from the UK to Malaga Airport which is approximately 45 minutes drive to Villa Malibu.
Nearest Medical Services (GP & A&E): The Hospital Costa del Sol at Los Monteros is just across the road from Villa Malibu

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
