Trelowth Cottages – Six

At first sight the multi-award wining Trelowth Cottages looks like an idyllic model village with pretty detached cottages scattered amongst 30-acres of meadows and woodland. A closer look finds it’s far more. There are facilities including: an indoor pool, tennis courts, a fully stocked games room, an internet lounge, an indoor playbarn and a toddler-friendly playground; yet enough space to ensure privacy and independence, if desired.

Owners Pat and David Smith know that it’s the simple pleasures of adventures in the woods and fields that can make the best memories for little ones. They’ve even created a wild animal trail complete with statues of the real thing and prizes for finding the lot! It’s almost as much fun making friends of both the two and four-legged variety at the daily animal feeding and egg-collecting rounds with Farmer Dave!


Accommodation Overview – Cottage Six

Cottage Six is the new eco-cottage, designed in an organic style and using energy from the sun and the ground for the heating and hot water. 100-year old reclaimed beams frame the interior, Designers Guild fabrics have been used throughout, artwork by Cornish artists adorn the walls and furnishings include pieces by local craftsmen. The luxury contemporary kitchen features granite worktops and there’s a wood burner for cosy nights by the fire. The cottage sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor there’s a twin bedroom and king size bedroom with a shared wetroom. The first floor has a super king bedroom with zip-link beds, which can be made as a twin and has an ensuite bathroom with shower. There’s also another double bedroom with ensuite shower room. The cottage is south facing with views to the woods from the lounge and an outdoor patio with al fresco dining furniture and a fire pit.
