Sandpipers Hot Tub Lodge at Retallack

This luxurious lakeside lodge for four with a private hot tub makes for a fantastic getaway for active families looking for a child-friendly getaway on the trendy North Cornwall coast.

Fabulously well-equipped for little ones, it boasts a long list of nursery kit, toys, and books (see 'Fast Facts' for details) but plenty of special touches for grown-ups too including the aforementioned hot tub, well-furnished balconies, and lovely lake views. Added to that, its location within a short stroll of facilities including an indoor pool, spa, surf simulator, paddle boarding lake, numerous indoor and outdoor kids play areas, casual cafe, and more formal bistro make it exceptionally easy to enjoy a fun-filled family break without ever needing to pile into the car. Although being in the heart of pretty North Cornwall with the pretty coastal towns of Padstow, Watergate Bay, and Wadebridge only a short drive away, it would be a real shame not to explore, even if only to sample Rick Stein's famous fish and chips!


Accommodation Overview – Sandpipers (2 bedrooms & 2 bath/shower rooms + hot tub – Dog-Friendly)

Inside, Sandpipers lodge has a homely but high spec feel, with oak floors, granite marble work surfaces, crisp cotton sheets, and a kitchen with hob and oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. The cosy lounge boasts log burner and large flat-screen TV and Netflix and is the perfect spot for a relaxing family cinema night after an active day at the beach or within the resort. Adjacent, the open-plan kitchen-diner is quipped to make self-catering easy, although with takeaways available from the two onsite eateries, its not essential. Outside, the furnished terrace off the luxurious master suite is perfect for enjoying morning coffees and wildlife spotting over the lake. Whatever the weather, the ground floor terrace is sure to be a popular spot thanks to it's sun loungers, BBQ and spacious hot tub – perfect for star-spotting in Autumn/Winter or more wildlife spotting in Spring/Summer.
Upstairs, the Lodge boasts two bedrooms comprising a spacious master suite with a king-sized bed, balcony with lake-view balcony, and ensuite with powerful shower. The second bedroom is a twin with ensuite bath/shower room. Both bedrooms boast TVs with Netflix so lie-ins are easily negotiated even with little ones in tow!
