Archaeologists may once have found ancient dinosaur eggs at Mas de Thau but in today's incarnation, as a stylish and luxurious cottage cluster aimed at families, it shares little with it prehistoric origins but a wildly beautiful setting and a passion for nurturing little ones, thanks to a creche and kids club, both of which are included in the holiday price.
This elegant former winery has been treated to a sophisticated renovation before opening in July 2014 as luxurious country estate, just a few miles from the coast, with a focus on family rejuvenation. Holidays here have the whole package* from a gourmet family ready meal placed in the fridge awaiting guests arrival, to fully inclusive creche and kids club to give parents some relaxation, and group activities for family bonding time too. The magic formula begins with that arrival meal, then fresh local bread and pastries delivered to the cottage on the first morning and every morning after. After that, there's a daily trip to the petting farm and playmate-making in the kids club or creche for mini guests, whilst parents wind down from their busy lives with a massage or some me-time by the pool. Pre-bookable activities are available each week allowing for families to bond over water skiing (from 3yrs), water rafting (from 6yrs) or a trip to the nearby dinosaur park, as well as simply enjoying the estate, the pool and the local area.
Self-catering for softies best-describes Mas de Thau's catering options since, along with the first evening's meal, three more in high season, and daily breakfasts, a welcome pack is provided with enough goodies to avoid a big arrival shop and there's a communal meal with fellow guests each Sunday. Daily maid service keeps household chores to a minimum, whilst a wine tasting evening in the onsite bar and a night's babysitting included with every week-long stay, ensures parents have plenty of time to regroup and rejuvenate, whilst also enjoying time with the kids too. (*Please note inclusions depend on the month of stay please refer to the pricing notes below to check what would be included for your stay).

Both bedrooms boast ensuite shower rooms, one of which is very large and wheelchair accessible. There's a spacious open-plan living area with fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, coffee maker, induction hob, oven, fridge freezer and microwave), a large LED TV and a very large terrace with dining furniture and parasol.

Colette SintonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were lucky enough to have Vicki's expertise and support in finding our family holiday in Zakynthos this summer. After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! MAGGIE OAKLANDTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used baby friendly bolt holes to book a trip to Portugal. Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. Hannah RoseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Since our daughter was born 2.5 years ago, we have booked every single trip away with BFB. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. Highly recommended Samantha ClarkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
