Ideal for glamorous group gatherings, the two classical Tuscan farmhouses that make up the scenic La Limonaia estate are as well located as they are luxuriously appointed. They are set just 12kms from the famously beautiful Tuscan city of Lucca, 30 minutes from Pisa and within a short stroll (1.5km) of a pretty village. With five and three bedrooms respectively, La Limonaia Grande and La Limonaia Piccolo face each other across an orchard of peaches, plums, figs and vines and share wide grassy lawns, pretty terraces for outdoor dining and a large, fenced, swimming pool. They also boast a useful list of nursery gear from strollers to sterilisers (see full list in grey box below) and toys for young and old in the form of games, books, a play fort, table football and table tennis – ideal for a large family gathering or group of several sociable families.
Inside, each has been thoughtfully restored, maintaining both their rustic country charm and adding contemporary comforts and luxuries. Original wooden beamed ceilings, large stone fireplaces (fireguards provided) and terracotta floors are blended with comfortable contemporary sofas, TVs, DVD/CD players and elegant bespoke kitchens. Both has a separate laundry room, which in the smaller house also houses table football and table tennis.
Outside, each house has its own private outdoor terrace but La Limonia Grande benefits from a large and beautiful terrace overlooking the pool and with seating for up to 16 to enjoy meals and drinks amongst the fruit orchards, rolling hills and setting sun…. although the temptation to sneak off for table football and ping pong tournaments may prove too strong for some!

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
