GK Beach Hotel – Junior Suite

A small family, friendly hotel within toddler toddling distance of the beach can be hard to find, that's why BFB are so excited to introduce the GK Beach Hotel in Crete. This 23 room, white washed hotel is nestled in beautiful, tropical gardens with palm trees and lush green lawns on the edge of wide, sandy beach which stretches almost as far as the eye can see. Add to this an inviting swimming pool, separate children's pool and the hotels own restaurant/bar and it completes one of the finest beachside locations on the BFB books.


Although the sea views may draw the eye initially, the hotels backdrop is just as impressive. Fringed by the magnificent White Mountains of Western Crete the location is perfect for walkers who, come spring or Autumn can head inland and explore the charming hillside villages which have hardly changed for generations. As for those looking for a little more hustle and bustle the Venetian harbour town of Chania is just 25 minutes drive away while closer to home the local shops and restaurants in Kalyves are just ten minute walk away.


The friendly owners Yiannis and Katerina truly set this hotel apart as they take great pleasure in ensuring guests young and old, experience the very best of Cretan hospitality. Mini guests will have a holiday to remember with morning strolls on the beach, paddling in the sea and splashing about in the pool while adults appreciate the hotel's stunning location, on request massage treatments and fresh, local food served up daily in the hotels restaurant. Older kids, staying during school summer holidays, will enjoy the sociable kids activities that take place most days and one evening a week between late July and August. These free supervised activities for children aged 5-11 generally last about two hours and include activities lke water games, fun challenges and crafts. They make it easy for kids to make friends and burn off some energy whilst parents enjoy a little time to themselves.


Accommodation Overview:
The hotel's junior suites are perfect for small families of three. They consist of a large open plan room (air conditioned) with double bed, space for a cot or child's z-bed (on request), a small seating area and a little kitchenette with a handy 2-ring hob, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. There is one family shower room in each suite. Each suite also has an iron, ironing board, iPod docking station, safe and hairdryer. All junior suites have a sea facing balcony area – ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks when teh off spring are asleep!
