Domaine de la Tour is a magnificent 18th century farmhouse, situated in peaceful countryside close to the town of Falaise, Lower Normandy. Once part of a greater property including a chateau constructed by Louis XV for one of his favourites, Madame de Seran, the farmhouse has been entirely restored to a high standard. What is most impressive, is the attention to detail in baby/toddler facilities, as well as parent-friendly services. The gîtes are set in 7 hectares of lovely grounds offering a tranquil retreat in which to relax and unwind. Formerly stables to the nearby chateau, the building is now two semi-detached 4-bedroom gîtes sharing a communal play room set across the courtyard. Each has been entirely renovated whilst keeping their authentic charm, with a spacious living areas complete with leather sofas and satellite TV (all BBC channels including Cbeebies), a DVD/CD/MP3/SD-card player, and a library of DVDs for kids and parents. Wi-Fi internet access is also available. The modern kitchens are equipped with all mod cons including dishwashers, microwave and washer dryers. Upstairs, there are two floors, each housing two en-suite bedrooms. There are three twin rooms which can be made up as double bedrooms and one triple room. Two of the four rooms have space for cots to be added and, although there’s no bath tub (all shower rooms), a baby bath is amongst the long list of gear provided for mini guests.

There is a shared playroom equipped with plenty of toys for the under 5s and nearby table tennis for older kids (and their parents!). There are extensive grounds in which to play outdoor games and enjoy picnics and the little ones can enjoy petting the animals in the paddock.
