Beautiful outside and in, this charming stone barn conversion has been given a sensitive yet chic conversion to make it a stylish 3-bedroom retreat ideal for a family of four or five, plus babies. Its friendly owners live onsite but maintain a discrete distance despite being on call for tips and advice and, best of all, fantastic meal deliveries from gourmet 3-course dinners to home-made pizza delivery, thanks to the fact that one of them is a fully trained French chef.
Guests find that relaxation comes easy here thanks to well furnished interiors complete with fabulous handmade kitchen, ensuite bedrooms offering large comfortable beds and stunning views over the valley and village below, not to mention the lovely furnished terrace which adjoins the living area via patio doors and the handy services such as pre-arrival shopping, optional meal deliveries, pre-bookable babysitting and a long list of baby gear, all of which help to ensure that even packing and travelling can be stress-free.
The barn enjoys a rural location in the heart of Burgundy's beautiful Cote d'Or counstryside but it is surprisingly convenient too, being less than 10 minutes from the nearest town with bank, supermarket and petrol, and 10-30minutes from the famously beautiful towns of Flavigny-sur-Ouzerain, the backdrop for the film 'Chocolat', and Semur-en-Auxois, with its Cinderella-style ramparts, pedestrian streets, cafes and restaurants. The family-friendly Parc de l'Auxois, with its animal park, rides and high season fun pool with toddler friendly slides and fountains is also within a short drive.

After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
