These picture-perfect 17th century farm cottages come with everything on the Baby Boltholes wish list including pretty ‘country contemporary’ interiors and a long list of family friendly features from a gated, heated swimming pool (May-Sept), a long list of nursery kit, toys, games, play areas and even their own private gate to a neighbouring family-friendly village pub complete with play bus, pygmy goats and yummy kids menu!
The four adjoining cottages boast 2 bedrooms a piece, with one cottage being a slightly larger 3-bedroom. They share acres of glorious gardens so kids can be free-Range and parents can always find a secluded spot to enjoy a book or a drink whilst mini guests play on the adventure style playground or splash about in the safely gated pool. Friendly owners, Adele and Nigel, are always happy to invite guests young and old to share in their well-stocked kitchen garden and Adele’s home-made cakes can be pre-ordered for delicious daily afternoon teas.
Inside, the pretty white-washed cottages are thoughtfully equipped and styled with a cosy home from home feel combining classic and contemporary furnishings with carefully coordinated textiles. Each lounge is comfortably equipped with a log burner, enough sofa space for the whole family, smart TV, DAB radio and Bluetooth speakers for cosy nights in and easy mornings. The fully equipped kitchens come with all mod cons including Nespresso, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge freezer and microwave. Each cottage has a private patio with picnic table and BBQ, leading to the communal gardens.
The wider gardens offer plenty of space for bat and ball games and hide and seek. Set amongst the grounds there is a wooden adventure style playground with wavy slide, swing, climbing net, giant noughts and crosses, connect four and Jenga. Best of all, in summer months, there is the large, heated pool, accessed via an entry code, with wide entry steps for little ones to splash at the shallow end.

Colette SintonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were lucky enough to have Vicki's expertise and support in finding our family holiday in Zakynthos this summer. After finding out exactly what we hoped for and needed, Vicki was able to find our perfect holiday - we were so looking forward to it and couldn't have been more delighted. Vicki's communication was informative and proactive throughout - our happiness with the arrangements was of the utmost importance to her and I felt I could get in touch with any queries. These were addressed swiftly and efficiently. I really felt like she went the extra mile in helping us plan our holiday and ensuring we were comfortable with all aspects. Highly recommend!! MAGGIE OAKLANDTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used baby friendly bolt holes to book a trip to Portugal. Tori was really helpful in helping us book, manage transfers, etc. On our departure day we had unexpected passport issues - Tori was straight on to the hotel and arranged for us to stay a couple of days later than planned. She was brilliant and really diffused the stress of a heart sink situation. Would definitely book with these guys again. Hannah RoseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Since our daughter was born 2.5 years ago, we have booked every single trip away with BFB. We have never been disappointed, and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to holidays! They respond so quickly to every query and have got us some great deals. I trust them fully with what are such crucial decisions about our much needed holidays and recommend them to every parent I know! I would be lost without them! The matching service was really useful Chris ReddingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I submitted some basic details on their form on a Sunday evening and Tori got back to me the next day. We exchanged several emails and spoke on the phone. Tori was well informed, responsive and thorough. I was able to book a place that looks great with her help. It was great to have help from someone who specialises in family holidays, as our requirements are pretty different now compared to before having kids. I don't actually think I've ever had a personal service to help book a holiday before. Maybe this is what it was like when people used to go to the travel agent on the high street... Thanks Tori and BFB, would recommend and use again. Jessica TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Baby Friendly Boltholes by doing a Google search, and completed their online form with my holiday requirements. They got back to me very quickly with some great recommendations which were also very cost effective. Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we're unable to book at this time, but I will definitely go back to Baby Friendly Boltholes when we're in a position to move forward with our booking. Thanks! Joel DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really fast and easy, available on a Sunday to complete our booking. I can’t recommend Juliet at babyboltholes enough, from our initial enquiry right through to booking, she was responsive, understanding and patient. I didn’t even know where to start booking our first family holiday, Juliet took onboard all our needs and found us our dream trip. 5 star service for busy parents!
