Set in 13 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside this cluster of eight family friendly cottages and four luxuriously appointed safari glamps proves an idyllic retreat for those in search of a relaxing getaway with tots in tow. The accommodation is perfectly set up to ensure parents can relax and unwind whilst little ones are fully entertained thanks to the wealth of onsite facilities. It’s a little piece of magic!

Catering for children of all ages, Glynn Barton offers everything from an indoor heated pool and hot tub, soft play, giant sand pit, playroom with pool table, table football and lots of games, plus an abundance of outdoor play forts, mud kitchen, swings and zip wire. Not to mention acres of safe grounds and interactive farm rounds all designed to ensure little ones have a holiday to remember. Young and old are invited to join the daily animal feeding rounds and meet the goats, donkeys, sheep, pigs and chickens- not forgetting egg collecting! For the slightly older kids, The Young Farmers Club during school holidays, offers an even more interactive experience with the miniature Shetland ponies.

So much to do onsite ensures that mini guests are easily able to burn off excess energy and bedtimes are a doodle, whilst the popular soft play area provides the ideal place to take early risers and allows for alternated lie ins for frazzled parents. When it comes to grown up time guests can make use of the handy babysitting service whether to pop out for a romantic meal, have a massage or simply hone their game with a spot of tennis on the onsite courts.

The cottages and glamps are designed with family in mind and have everything guests might need for the perfect baby and toddler friendly getaway. Comfy sofas, baby and toddler cutlery/crockery, bathroom step ups, Brook & Wilde beds, soothing showers and a relaxing tub to unwind in. There are fluffy Glynn Barton bath robes to pop on for going up to the pool or an evening hot tub too. Glynn Barton has full fibre WiFi for guests to use and all cottages are centrally heated with gas cast iron stoves or electric fires. The glamps have super toasty log burners and fire pits too. For the ultimate relaxation check out the little onsite shop selling home made frozen meals by Fee’s Food in Rock and all sorts of other scrumptious local goodies including Treleavens ice cream, Buttermilk fudge and Cornish Ciders! EV charing available.

For families able to tear themselves away from the Glynn Barton grounds there’s plenty to see and do nearby. Close to home guests can pull on their wellies and explore the surrounding, buggy accessible forest tracks or hop in the car for a short drive to the coast. In fact the cottages are perfectly located for exploring both North and South coasts for some of the region’s best restaurants, picturesque villages and famous attractions including The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Accommodation Overview

Ideal for a small family, 1-bedroom, but a spacious cottage awaits you in the Tack Room, ideal for a family of 3. With high beamed ceiling and large character windows, this is a light and airy, centrally heated cottage with bags of charm. Cuddle up on the comfy sofas by the electric cast-iron stove on an autumn morning with a steaming cup of cocoa and enjoy the view from the calm and tranquility of your vantage point.

Crammed full of character and crawling baby/toddler-friendly single storey in design. The open plan living/dining room has a light airy feel with two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV player and gas, cast iron stove. The shaker style kitchen has an oven.

In the summer, spring open the large windows or enjoy the sunny aspect on the patio area outside and cottage green. There’s plenty of space and light in the beautiful, airy double bedroom, with iron bedstead and lots of room for a travel cot/toddler bed as required. Look up and spot the open galleried loft bedroom which can be set up as a twin or a king double. Suitable for ages 10+ due to access.


There is a shared laundry room onsite, two BBQ areas and a pizza oven, parking and a small shop onsite selling delicious home cooked frozen meals and local goods.
